I am not certain .. I wish I could contribute and help!... but I would love to see a picture of how it looks when you are finished painting the case. :)
FUSHION Plastic “glossy” paint by Krylon….I LOVE this stuff! You can get it at your local hardware store. Our Ace handles the full line by Krylon. Have fun!
It works great on old plastic toddler toys that fade iwith time/sunlight, too (for anyone else reading this thread)
I came to give the same answer as Spatzie. It’s spray paint, and not terribly expensive. I can’t remember how much, but I want to say it was under $5.00. Don’t quote me on it, though.
Edit: I just saw a price of $6.99/can on a website.
Del has got me thinking now… are you looking to just change the color, and make it oooh shiny or are you thinking of doing a decorative paint job on it? If it’s the latter, listen to Del!
Do the latter!!
I can, if I get around to it, show you some work I did like that on a table. I….still… have to finish it and then its going in the shop.
I have to disagree with you @delirium :/ Oil paints would not be a good idea for an XBOX.
I think spray paint is your best option. Nothing with brushes. What you want to do is tape down areas where you wont spray, and peel them off as they dry. Also, if you want that gloss, just read the label and make sure you get the glossy kinds. If you cant find any, you can find some CHEAP clear glossy spray paint at walmart. I used to use the clear glossy spray paint on my paintings to make em pop out. And make sure you do it outside with newspaper laid out :P
