I live in Philadelphia, and I want to know when “It’s Always Sunny…” will be filming their outdoor scenes here – as they have in the past. What are some resources for that?

The best (in my opinion) place to go for TV and Movie info is the tried and true IMDB.com (Internet Movie Database). Check there, do some browsing and searching and you will likely at least get a bead on what you’re looking for, if not all the info at once.

@gambitking they list filming schedules?

Your town should have an office of film and TV development. In NYC, that’s the governmental authority a production company must go to that gives out permits to shoot in the city on public property and to permit parking for film crews on city streets. I would look up to see if Philadelphia has such an agency.

omg! did you know they’re filming a Gerard Butler movie in Philly? I want to stalk him.

I know they do scenes outdoors, but it’s probably all done pretty quick, since the indoor scenes are done in Cali (i think)

btw: when danny devito was honored at the bryn mawr film festival, the entire cast of always sunny came to my husbands restaurant and they all got wasted. i was so jealous.

@casheroo if you tell my sister this, she might shart herself.

yeah, the indoor stuff is done in LA (btw, the actual outside of the bar is LA too), but a lot of the outdoor stuff is local (i.e. the waitresses’ apartment, where Dee and Dennis were cracked out, etc. is all the same street!)

i’m also jealous of your husband.

btw, have you been to ZOT in Society Hill?
