I’m walking part of the Lycian Way (Fethiye to Kas) in May and will probably be camping en route. Any advice?

Specifically, what kind of information are you looking for?

I’m looking for information about things i might not think to bring with me that could however prove useful (e.g. i saw in a guidebook someone recommended bringing a tin with a length of string for drawing water from wells). That sort of insight – whether from someone who is local or someone who has done the walk.
