Personally, I couldn’t imagine seeing one of my relative’s funerals televised – no matter what their standing was in society. However, reality tv, like it or not, has made a huge impact (not necessarily for the better) on our society.
I don’t know very much about her, I do know it was either a love/hate thing, but regardless what people thought about her, she did have a positive impact. More women started getting screened for cervical cancer and HPV.
To me, funerals are personal, not for tv. Personally, I wouldn’t watch it, but someone out there may want to see it and to mourn her loss. I wonder what kind of impact it will have on her children – they should be protected now, someone needs to be making sure they are not hurt (further) or lost in all of this.
