If you are referring to IMs, emails, text messages and things like that, yes I send them and get them all the time. It is nice to know someone took a moment of their time to write you a quick note before they head off to work just to tell you to have a great morning or that they love you. A quick “love note” is always nice. :)
@augustian my husband and i have sent emails and i’ve saved some our conversations that i thought were especially meaningful. i keep them in a special folder that is my version of the shoebox in the closet full of love letters
That’s sweet! I have sent and received love notes via email, but never really thought to save them somewhere. I don’t even keep most of the paper variety… but I do keep the best ones. :)
I have emails and some AIM conversations saved. I have a folder in my email called “Memories.” I also have a folder dedicated to emails from a boyfriend who took a trip to South Africa. It was only a 3-weeks long, but he was my first boyfriend and the separation was difficult, so the emails are really intense and romantic.
They’re all nice to look back at :) The AIM conversations are funny.
I have sent and received them, sometimes in more public forums (myspace, facebook, etc.), to the chagrin of others. I always love having someone tell me that they appreciate me and whatnot, but I draw the line at naked pictures, sending or receiving.
My husband and I do this all the time. I’ll send him a text while he is at work, just to say “I love you” or that I’m thinking about him. We’ll even send pm’s to each another if we are fluthering at the same time.
