I was a little off in my aim and I’ve noticed my cat bending around to lick the area where I applied the flea meds. He can’t quite reach, but it’s pretty darn close.

I’ve missed a bit with Revolution, and my cat (and three dogs) have always been fine afterwards. You used Frontline, so you may want to start digging a hole.

He should be fine but this is a perfect example of why I am a huge fan of the flea pill. No fuss. No muss.

our male cat just survived a “bath” our daughter gave him in woolite carpet cleaner

I always wrap MIlo in a large bath towel so he is immobilized. Then I pin him down with my knees and work very fast. but maybe you should cal the vet in order to allay your fears.

Dip the cat’s feet in peanut butter. That should keep him busy while the treatment soaks in. You could wrap him in foil to keep him from licking the spot, too. I guess you could call the vet, but that won’t be as entertaining.

I doubt there would be a problem, but if it bothers you, wash the area off, then ask your vet about alternatives.

You put it on the shoulder so it is assimilated into the blood stream and kills the fleas when they suck the blood. So it is designed to go into the animal’s body, it might upset the gi tract if ingested orally. If he can’t reach it though there is no problem. Give him some milk to coat his gut just in case he gets a little taste.

No. My vet once told me someone actually gave that stuff to their cat orally. The cat was fine.

It won’t hurt anything (although he may drool excessively from the taste). It’s actually designed with a fairly wide safety factor.
