Any firm or slightly stale bread; day old baguette, country white, etc. Tear into pieces and put in food processor or blender. Process or blend for a few seconds. Voila!
At my house, we take 4 C flour, 2 t sugar, 1 t salt, 1 t baking soda, 1 egg and 2 C milk, mix them all together, put in a pan in the oven for about 45 minutes, and let it cool off. Then we crumble it all up.
The answers that were given were satisfactory; I was asking how to make them as opposed to buying store bought bread crumbs. It’s so simple now that I know… before I thought it would be too time consuming to tear up bread.
