I think I may be, but only incidentally.

According to wikipedia, polyphasic is usually the result of head injury or dementia. This would be sleeping for shorter periods several times during the day. The proverbial “catnapper.”

Interesting idea that someone would cultivate this sleeping pattern. It could be extremely annoying to those you live and work with.
