You probably could but why would you want to? In addition to the terrible pain from getting it done, no one is really ever going to see it so why would you put yourself through that?
I would think also that with the large amount of bacteria that is prevlent in the mouth area, there would be a much greater chance of infection after getting the tattoo as the tongue went throught the healing process.
You can get a tattoo just about anywhere. Any in the mouth eventually fade away and disappear because of the acids found in the saliva and the mouth in general. It wouldn’t stay. It would be hard to have it any color other than black because the tongue is mostly just muscle. One last thing to consider, anything you get is gonna look funny because the tongue stretches. It will not be an easy tattoo to do and I don’t see many parlors jumping on board for that one.
The weirdest thing I ever saw was ‘you know that little punching bag thing that hangs at the back of your throat?’ I saw a guy that had that thing pierced. Why in the world would anyone do that???
@uberbatman that first guy might just have eaten a grape Tootsie Pop. Tattooing one’s tongue bright purple is very uncreative to say the least, and makes the idea seem even more pointless to me.
