The most comfortable contacts I’ve ever worn are Acuvue2 – haven’t tried the oasys, but kind of want to. When I first put the Acuvue2s in, I can not feel my contacts whatsoever and would probably forget that I was wearing them, if it wasn’t for the fact that I could actually see! ;)

That said, their shelf life is about 2 weeks, which is short compared to some other contacts. My eye doctor said that I can push each pair to 3 weeks if I want to, but they do start to wear out pretty quickly by that point and they generally start to irritate my eyes by then. New, though, I love them and never have to use eye drops.

I use the Acuvue Oasys and I love them. I can’t recommend them enough.

The good thing about them is when they’re fresh, they’re great. My eyes don’t get as dry when I close them, and the contacts aren’t spent by 11at night. I really feel like they breathe better than the others.

The negative is that you really can’t stretch them out. When they’re done, they deteriorate fast and you can feel it. I definitely prefer them over the Acuvue2’s – although in fairness, I did wear those for years and found them to be a good, solid lens.

They’re amazing for dry eyes, for people who have allergies, anyone that stares at a computer screen often. (daily contacts are the best for allergies though) I use monthly Proclears, have for years. I love them so much.

I just switched to the Acuvue Oasys from the Acuvue2. I haven’t had them long term yet, but they are very comfortable. I can actually feel the difference. My eyes don’t ever get that, “I’ve had them in too long” feeling. In all fairness, I can’t say anything about how they hold up.

Acuvue 2 has always been a very strong brand for me. Very reliable, decent prices and easy to get.

I recently got Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism, and they are incredibly comfortable. I’ve been wearing them for a couple months and haven’t had them tear or anything. I first started wearing contacts in 1980, and have tried many different brands over the years.

(Just to add, I’ve used that brand of contacts for at least 5 years, I also have astigmatism, and they are great for that.)

I used to wear Acuvue 2, but switched to Oasys. I’m going to switch back, because I don’t think there’s enough of a difference to justify the higher price. Acuvue makes a good contact!

@Likeradar – Since I haven’t been in mine long enough to really judge, what are some of the reasons that you feel they lacked the price difference, if you don’t mind me asking. I love user reviews and will keep it in mind when making a decision.
