Yes. It is weird. In some places it is punishable by a fine of $50. You should, at least, put your underwear on first, unless you don’t wear any. Then you can put your shirt on first.
Don’t be upset, though. There are support groups for people with this problem. Socks Anonymous.
If you consider socks undergarments – which I am sure many people do – then it makes perfect sense that they go on right after the underclothes. It isn’t weird, it’s just how you roll.
I just realized I only put my socks on before my pants if I’m wearing knee socks (pretty much all winter). If I’m wearing short socks they go on last.
Weird.
Getting back on topic, when I have no clothes on at all I am nude but perfectly comfortable. However, If I put on socks and still have no other clothes on I feel stark staring OMG and everybody’s looking naked.
Don’t know why but it means if I am going to wear socks they go on second to last, just before my shoes.
I don’t know. I go barefoot whenever possible, then if I absolutely have to wear shoes, I wear flip flops or sandals if I can, then if I can’t wear sandals and have to wear real shoes, then and only then will I put socks on. So I always put my socks on last, and then only if I have to.
I get dressed and run around barefoot until I am ready to head out the door. Then I put my socks and shoes on. When I come home, the shoes come off and usually the socks follow shortly after.
@cyndihugs Oops, that didn’t really come out right. If I have to wear shoes I put them on after I put my socks on. Socks are next to last when I dress, shoes last.
When I’m at home, I don’t wear any socks or shoes. When I am at a hotel, I keep slippers right by the bed because I don’t want to walk on the carpets there, unless I’m staying the week, in which case, I spray disinfectant liberally.
i thought it was weird until i read some of the answers.
then again, i don’t wear socks that often. i live in florida, and that allows me to believe in ‘flip flops are the only way to go’. when i do wear actual shoes, it is usually an afterthought, so the socks are too.
