Have you ever had any problems with facial hair?

“Great Question” (0points)

Since February, I have had a beard (no sideburns or moustache). In the last few days though, I have had a lot of trouble trying to kiss my girlfriend without her laughing in the middle of it when it rubs against her. I’ve already told her its going, but just for interest sake, what might have changed? Has the presence of facial hair (on you or another person, this question isn’t only for the blokes) ever caused problems for you?

My skin is sensitive and when my bf’s would mack on my face, I’d end up with a horrid rash from under the nose down. They had to shave. Had to.

A beard with no mustache? Glad somebody is bringing the Abe Lincoln back.

Facial hair on men hurts my face and…

Absolutely hate it, that’s why I date girls (well, not the only reason LOL4rl)

I do the Lincoln

Seems to be a common trend. Thanks all.

nothing says rap-metal like a chin strap beard.

I just don’t want my lip perimeter scratchy, if you know what I mean.

My face doesn’t grow sideburns.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@steve6 cuz of the intimate times?

FireMadeFlesh's avatar

@The_Compassionate_Heretic anatomically speaking, sideburns are on you face, as they are over the mandibular rami, and the mandible is a facial bone. Just being pedantic though, as you were.

I have a problem with being almost 18 and still not having to shave.

Which is good in my opinion. I don’t like facial hair. ;P

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

@Dansedescygnes I wish I had that problem. Shaving is terrible. Although, not being able to grow a beard does significantly affect your awesomeness. That and you’ll never be allowed into Canada. It’s pretty much a requirement.

FireMadeFlesh's avatar

@Dansedescygnes Glad you like it, it gets very annoying after a while, particularly that stage where it is getting thicker but still isn’t quite thick enough for an electric shaver.

eponymoushipster's avatar

@Dansedescygnes enjoy it. i started shaving in the 7th grade. seriously.

My wife complains

DarkScribe's avatar

Yes. I have a beard. Babies love beards. Babies love pulling on things. My daughter has just had her first baby. Draw your own conclusions.

aAny problems w/ faial hair? Yes, my SO and I had a big fight yesterday because we’cve had to be apart from each other for a few weeks and he’s grown a beard. i told him it would probably hurt to kiss hiim with the beardbased on my previous experiences w/ his facial hair, and asked him to shave it off if it hurt. He was opposed to me making this demand on him. big fight.

FireMadeFlesh's avatar

@La_chica_gomela I’m sorry to hear that, it doesn’t seem an issue worthy of a fight. Its for my own benefit to get rid of it, as well as hers.

Oh man! I love lurve sideburns…you should let them grow.. :)

None whatsoever. I not only shave my head, but my face as well. I even shave my eyebrows off in the warm weather months. The last time I had a full beard, it was a beautiful thing (looked great with a bald head, too). My wife liked to run her fingers through it, and I kept it soft enough so as not to scratch her face when we kissed. Itched like the dickens, though. Unfortunately, my employer won’t allow me to grow any facial hair beyond very tight rules. Mustache can’t be wider than mouth, and can’t extend below upper lip. No beards or partial beards, and sideburns can’t extend below ear lobe. What’s the point there?

So I shave it all off, including the eyebrows because I like the Uncle Fester look. now if only I could find one of those trick light bulbs that light up in my mouth.

My husband likes to grow a beard, I hate how scratchy it can be when its just growing in but like it once it’s a little longer. I am not a fan of moustaches though. They hurt when kissed

La_chica_gomela's avatar

@FireMadeFlesh: Yeah, we never fight about anything “worth fighting about”. Our last fight before that was about scrambled eggs. Really.

jbfletcherfan's avatar

I don’t mind facial hair on someone else, but on my husband I like him clean & smooth. Years ago, he tried to grow a beard & mustache & I threw a shit fit. He looked like a railroad bum. His face never looked clean. Yeah, we argued about it. But fate was on my side. It grew in patchy & it started to itch him so much that he couldn’t stand it. He never tried THAT again, thankfully.

I’ve never had problems with girls and my facial hair. As far as problems in general go though, I don’t shave because my skin is too sensitive. I’ve tried everything, including after-/pre-shave stuff, except really expensive electric shavers (a friend let me borrow his once, it’s the only thing I’ve ever used that hasn’t left me feeling like I had a rash all over my face). As a result, I basically just keep my beard trimmed.
