Let me start by telling you that I was raised Christian but I’m not really sure what I believe anymore. Now, the story doesn’t go that Jesus died and then slept for three days so that he could rise from the dead with that being the reasoning for everyone’s sins disappearing. See, before Jesus’ death, people had to make sacrifices to God to have their sins washed away. Basically they would give up the best of whatever they had. It could be anything from a percentage of their crops from harvest or their best livestock. Anyway, when Jesus was killed it served as the ultimate sacrifice and all a person would have to do is ask for forgiveness (you obviously have to mean it and not want to do your best to refrain from sin) and you would be forgiven just like that. The resurrection was supposed to be the proof that he was more than just man and that he did what needed to be done to save man.
At least that’s how I understood the whole thing. If you take the time to investigate the stories, you’ll find out there are reasonings behind why things went the way they did. The Bible isn’t a giant story that a bunch of children authors decided to write together. It’s accounts from the way people saw things and things that God supposedly told people to write. It may or may not be just as much bull shit or fact as any religion in my opinion. I suggest you investigate it for yourself before you just go making accusations that someone is wrong because of belief. There’s much more to Christianity than people tend to act like there is. it’s just as legit as any other religion.
