@ChazMaz yeah, the word energy has many contexts including a very specific one where physics is concerned. but, i find the word energy in the bible as well as physics texts, and the bible had been around long before folks started thinking about energy in the very precise context that modern day physics does. so to speak of energy only in terms of K or E is a bit restrictive (i was going to use the word anal but opted against it owing to the sensitivities of others which is important)
a couple of days ago i was going to make the point that it’s probably as wrong for God believers to expect that God sits around waiting to be tasked with some great deed via the prayer of some godly person, as it is wrong to blame God for not having been so tasked or having had the good conscience to seize the initiative and solve some problem for mankind.
i realize that to some God believers the point above is equivalent to professing to atheism, but nonetheless, ultimately you make the same point as i make – in many, many cases, we don’t need to resort to God to solve our problems because we have the power to solve them ourselves; and, in as many other cases it’s wrong to blame God for what ails us when we are the cause of our own ailments.
so where does that leave God? that’s another question and one that i can’t answer fully. but perhaps that’s the purpose He has in mind for us.
and in which case you non-God believers are just being total slackers :)
