When we moved to Ohio, someone at a garage sale just gave us an old lawnmover. That was four years ago and that thing just keeps on mowin. But I think I need to sharpen the blade. I’ve got a grinder/sharpener but does the blade come off? If so, does it come off clockwise or counter? Tips for removal? Thanks!

It should come off in the direction opposite to that which it operates, just like a fan blade.

Turn the lawnmower on its side (first use the gas or it will leak out over the motor).
There is a bolt under the blade. It loosens counter clockwise, the blade just needs to be held in place while you loosen it. You can also buy a hand held grinder like a Dremel tool, which I find easier than taking the blade off.
