Does Fluther act weird when you post lately? See "Details".

“Great Question” (0points)

Lately, when I post, leave the page, then return, my post is no longer there. If I scroll up, then back down, it’s there. I just noticed it doing that also on a question where the last post was one that I did NOT post to. Using Vista Ultimate 64 bit, Firefox.

It has been a little flaky for me the last couple of days.

Are you using the “back” button on your browser? That seems to much with the real-time posting of answers. You may need to simply refresh the page (hit F5).

It’s been weird for me lately too. When I hit GA it will stop and go back up to the top of the page, and it usually doesn’t do that. A few other things have been strange as well. Havent’ had your problem though.

I’ve had the same problem as @Clair when I answer a question. I’m taken to the top of the page sometimes and it never did this before.

edit: it just did it to me again

Oh! I had that issue on another thread just now—I GAd something and back to the top I went! Kind of like when we removed by Fluther moderators.

My GA works OK.

I’m not hitting any “back button”, but I MAY be going back in time. I sometimes click on things I received lurve for. Other times I go back in time because there’s a time warp right in the middle of my apartment.

I’ll watch and see.

It’s possible that one of the dependencies is taking a long time to load, which causes all the javascript on the page to wait. We did this originally to prevent an IE6 crash. We’re looking into improving that.

A crappy workaround is making sure that all items on the page have loaded.

nope, no probs here

I have issues, when I post the page disappears then I am back to the top of the page. I don’t like it, but usually these issues don’t last for long.

SirBailey's avatar

@andrew , then if I stop seeing my post, I could just wait a bit, keeping the page where it is?

@SirBailey No, that’s really strange. Try holding down shift and hitting refresh.
