@bvdshec17: You need to get one with a light. Then you are really living my friend. Listen, come by my house. I’ll make some borsch and you can play with it for a while (the freezer light, that is).
My freezer has a light. How else would I be able to see into it when I don’t feel like turning on the lights at night? Both the fridge and freezer sides have lights. It’s about 4 years old.
I think that because the freezer is so much colder that a lightbulb would constantly crack. Newer refrigerators don’t use bulbs that can crack and mine is a led so it can survive the cold.
My kitchen fridge is about 3 years old, with the freezer on top and it does have a light.
My garage fridge is about 6 years old, side by side and also has a light in the freezer.
