About a fraction of a second. Seeing as I only run into this about four times a month, that’s maybe two seconds total per month – 24 seconds a year. Seeing as I got about another forty years to live, that’s approximately 16 minute total wasted for the rest of my life.
It doesn’t take more than two seconds to “press one.” There are different kinds of people in the US who may not speak English as their native language. It’s great that some companies are realizing that.
I don’t mind either… in fact, I never thought about it before. There are a LOT of spanish-speaking people in America, it only makes sense that there’s a spanish option on phone menus. As I get older, I’m realizing more and more that I really should have taken spanish in school… French is rarely any use in the US, till you get to Maine.
I’ve probably wasted a collective 20 seconds of my life on “For English press 1”.
I’ve wasted much more than that on my phone’s shitty voicemail system.
kevbo, I’m clicking but it does nothing! Bug report!
