Well I quit wis.dm because they cared more about adding bells & whistles and complications over fixing their never-ending slow server issues. It was always so incredibly slow. And they had no desire to fix that. Instead they added chat rooms, categories, etc., making a slow situation even slower. I’m not surprised it disappeared with such mismanagement.
Every few months I’d check in, to see if the speed was fixed, and of course it wasn’t. Then one day it wasn’t even there at all. I really wish I knew ahead of time, so I could download my material. But like I said, I was avoiding the site because they had no interest in maintaining their server speed. So I waited a few months, then asked Google where everyone went, and it said Fluther, which I never heard of.
And so far, so good. And the speed is up to par, here on Fluther, which means they have their priorities in order. It’s simple too, just like wis.dm was before it got over-creative.
