Which fruit? It is certainly not the same fruit from the same tree that was once forbidden that is now part of our daily diet. Though fruit in general is good. But I prefer pizza.

Fruits make you healthier, not smarter. I am guessing it was a vegetable, and BIG VEG got some of their publicity people to spin it onto the fruit conglomerate.

I run all my fruits through my Power Pro Juicer, so I still get the nutrients, the fiber, and the great flavor, but I can pour it into a glass, and there is no chewing involved.

Call ahead, I’ll save you some and serve it over ice.

Oh what joy to begin this Thursday morning with such an opportunity (and I thought taking out the trash was going to be my highlight).

The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is deeply rooted in every word that proceeds from our minds. And it’s not a matter of medium as words do not depend upon writing (sign language, smoke rings). Basically, any form of physical symbolic representation of intentions from a mind.

“In the beginning was the word. And the word was God and the word was with God. And the word became flesh”.

And in Genesis:
“And God “said”… Let there be…”

Hypothetically (and in line with the biblical teaching) Eve was the first to taste of this fruit. Thus women embraced modern syntactical structures before men. Who better to feed this fruit to children both male and female?

So, when we tasted the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, our eyes were open to concepts of modernity. The Garden of Eden vanished before our very eyes, and the Angel who prevents us from returning is our very own cognitive development that modern language usage has foisted upon us.

Animals are still in the Garden of Eden, having no wants or desires beyond that which is provided for them by Mother Nature. But humans have left the Garden, never to return.

What other Fruit bearing Trees await us in our future evolution? Is there a Tree of Omnipotence waiting to be picked from?

Yes, people who learn do “eat” fruit from the tree of knowledge all the time. But this means they lose their innocence and their ignorance i.e. their “paradise” and learn about the evil side of the world. But it’s an opportunity for growth as well. A modern version of this parable can be found in the Time Machine by H.G. Wells. Until the traveler arrives from the past, the Eloi are a comfortable group, living a banal life of ease on the surface of the earth. When they get a taste of knowledge they meet the evil Morlocks. No more paradise.

Hey that’s right Matt, the ignorance/paradise comparison. Perfectly in line with “ignorance is bliss”, and it can splinter off into so many confirmations from there. I sit atop my perch and make a living producing artwork of shadows walking beneath me. The series is called Real Eyes Realize Real Lies and depicts our shadows as distortions of the Truth. The only way to overcome that distortion is to stand directly under the light of Truth where no shadow may be cast. The further we stray, the more distorted our shadow becomes, eventually twisting us up to the point of not recognizing our True self.

“But the light is moving!” they say. No, the light is stable and unwavering. It is this world that is moving. So our choice is simple. Are we a part of Truth, or are we a part of this world that leads us away from it?

I’m glad you had that experience in school and that my words could bring back a memory. Unfortunately this is not a school project for me. There are nearly 600 images in this library and a 400 page story to go along with it. Making it up on the fly has never been part of my methodology or work flow. Certainly not for continuing projects with five years under their belt.

How have my comments to someone else’s inquiry given reason for others to put my livelihood on the chopping block?

I think the term “sit atop my perch” offended some people. My perch is any city fire escape that I dare to climb, usually to the 7th floor or higher.

@RealEyesRealizeRealLies: I’m happy to say most people outgrow or break free of the encasement, leave their creations eventually to go on less encumbered. Others though, a few end up half baked and trapped within their own makings, skins painfully fused.

Yes that’s a good thing, to live, learn, and move on. Leaving painful creations behind is to be encouraged. Forgiving one’s self is often the most difficult task of all. Terribly unfortunate to carry unneeded baggage around. How burdensome.

And then there are artists, who simply express themselves openly to the world, regardless of how they may be judged.

Ahh, bless those artists who are so brave, even at their own sacrifice.
