I like stupid questions because it gives me the opportunity to be sarcastic or to make fun. I hate stupid questions because I am tired of seeing them.
Judging by the amount of lurve (or lack thereof), most of my efforts fall flat. A few hit, but not nearly as many as Astrochuck gets. I get tired of seeing the same questions all the time, and when they are particularly poorly asked, I’ll often tee off.
Sometimes I’ll tell weird made-up stories. Sometimes I’ll try to make a quip.
I know that newbies usually don’t bother to research their questions, and I can skip them if I want. I know they probably won’t understand if I do a Borat. Maybe some people will get it, but it seems like a lot of deadpan humor passes right over people’s head here (including mine). But, for some reason, I can’t always pass over the questions. Maybe it’s just a mood thing. If I’m in the mood for vicious humor, I’ll take it on; otherwise I can let other, more kind, people deal with it.
