Well, it kind of depends on how bad the fart was and how far away I can get from the offending party. With practice, I think holding your breath for a minute or two is probably pretty good. I’m a smoker, and forty-five seconds is probably about my max.
I just timed myself with a timer and I reached a full minute. I probably could have held out five to ten second longer, but I’m a smoker, and I think anything longer than that would probably make me pass out.
If you don’t smoke, there’s no way I (or any smoker) should be able to hold my breath longer than you. Definitely get it checked out if you’re smoke-free.
@mascarraaa Well, now that we know that you can hold your breath longer than most people after having run a marathon, there is no longer any cause for alarm.
I can’t tell you how long. I was told that when I was little, I would hold my breath long enough till I passed out. My mom told me I did it everytime, I got in trouble. But I don’t remember it.

I’m not a smoker and i got 2:27 (timed, while sitting still) under water (actively) I can hold it a little over 20 seconds giving me enough time to complete half a lap (25meter/27yards). There is a 70 year old geezer in my local pool that can double that and does it every day. It’s more of a mental issue I think (unless you smoke of course).
25 seconds IS weak and if you want to hold your breath longer start practicing by just holding your breath for as long as you can.soon that 25 seconds will reach to a minute.i have asthma really bad and by following thos steps i have been able to hold my breath for more than two minutes.trust me you will get there slowly.
