“Great Question” (1points)

Sometimes I hear some people talk and they’ll say “Well have a happy living” is it meant in a good way or a sarcastic mean way? Or some sort? And what does the phrase “Happy living” really means?

I have never heard that phrase before. Is it regional?

@Marina it’s not regional here but I do hear it on tv shows from america etc.

I’ve never heard it before either and I probably watch to much TV.

I have heard the term “Have a happy life” which is a brushoff.

It would depend on the context. It sounds like an advertisment for a senior apartment complex.

I’m thinking this is a mistranslation. Are American TV shows dubbed in a different language where you are?

@augustlan I live in Aruba, a small island in the caribbean.

No one in America uses the expression happy living to my knowledge.

@xTheDreamer Lucky you! Beautiful place.

I think it’s been mis-translated from “Have a good life.”

@Zen Or “have a nice life”... like a kiss-off?

@augustlan Could be.
