@J0E Exactly my beef with Apple. I much prefer building my own computer because not only is it much cheaper, but also, it works just as I want it. I can’t stand knowing that
Apple will release a “brand new and improved” iAnything right now, only to release an updated version in 4 months with minor changes because they know that Apple fans will buy anything and everything they release.
so much apple hate in the room..
but can @buckyboy28 and @J0E at least admit that the new 27” all in one iMac, that comes with BT Keyboard and BT Magic mouse is indeed a beautiful feat of engineering and design? because it is
@patg7590 I have no problem admitting that it is a nice looking system… I am just against the whole idea that Mac will release a slightly larger, even shinier, more expensive system, with Mac OS 12.2 (available separately), two months from now, just because they know that people will drool over them and fork up more money.
@patg7590 I don’t hate Apple, in fact I own some Apple products. There are some things about Apple that I don’t like, and there are some things that I do like. You calling a computer a “beautiful feat of engineering and design” is an example of one of the things I don’t like. Their actual products (business ethics aside) are one of the things I do like.
@buckyboy28 point made. similar to what sony does with its game systems, slimming them and such
@Dog Good thing you said that. I sure wasn’t going to tell them :P
@J0E Yes it can be a bit cult like at times, (MacHeads is on hulu right now if you want to know more about that) what about their business ethics bothers you?
@patg7590 I don’t want to really get into it, but one example is how the iPod touch 2g has bluetooth built in, but it wasn’t until OS 3.0 that they were like “I think you can have bluetooth now” and there is a rumor that they are going to be doing the same thing with FM tuner ability. I bought the thing, I shouldn’t have to wait for built in features to start working.
@J0E (Regarding your Post) By the way from reading your posts I see you think the Mac has only one button. Well it does but you can click on both sides of the mouse just like regular two button mice. It works just the same.
@J0E (Regarding your Post) I think (I’m not completely sure) that Apple does this so they can get something the best they can before they release it to everybody. They don’t jam as much as they can inside their product just to say “our product can do this.” (There is a reason the iPhone 3GS can record video and the iPhone/iPhone 3G’s 2 megapixel camera cannot).
