I want to get out of the house today. I don’t want to do the usual. Being outside is acceptable. I am willing to travel anywhere in L.A. county. I will also consider Orange and Ventura County.

Are there any interesting things going on this weekend, or can you recommend some place I might have never been to? (This might be hard since I have lived in this area my whole life, so be unique.)

I’d like to leave my house before 1pm or so. Help!

When was the last time you visited Watts Towers?

Have you been to the San Diego Zoos Wild Animal Park? I think it was near Escondido. Not sure exactly how far that would be from you. You get a lot of walking in and the work they do there is interesting.

Want to come and help me pack?

Would an Oktoberfest interest you?

Geocaching, perhaps? I could link you to my hidden cache.

@andrew definitely. Geocaching is fun!

I don’t have GPS. Or does my iPhone have it?
I don’t drink.

@tinyfaery Yes, it does! If you want to spend $10, you can get the geocaching app from the app store, which makes it really, really, easy. Or you can just enter the address into google maps.

Hmm…this sounds interesting, but I feel like I need more prep time for this. I’d like a link for an easy way for me to get acquainted with it.

We decided to use our annual Universal Studios pass today.

Thanks. I’m going to check out the geocaching.

Here’s the app—if you have a 3gs, it’s even better (I don’t, and it’s totally usable). http://www.geocaching.com/iphone/

@andrew geocaching sounds fun, I’m going to have to try that in the future.
