DON’T ROLL. That’s usually a good place to start. Rolling also isn’t really “nothing major”; ecstasy is one of the more dangerous drugs out there. And I’m not some anti-drug proselytizer by any means, in fact I generally support legalization, but, as a 17-year old, you’re much more likely to use it and have something go wrong (overheating or not drinking enough water for example). E fucks your body up pretty badly. If you’re going to do it, you have to make sure to drink a lot of Gatorade (staying hydrated, replenishing electrolytes). Something you can’t really counteract, however, is the “coming down.” E messes with serotonin in your brain that controls mood. If you’re doing it often, you might not want to eat because you’re slightly depressed from coming off the E.
With drinking, the best thing to do is eat before you start drinking, pace yourself for the night (ie don’t slam back five shots the minute you get to the party; most people drink more than they should the more drunk they become), and drink water in between alcoholic drinks. Since you’re 17, I’m assuming you haven’t been drinking heavily for long (or hoping, I guess). Your alcohol tolerance will change as you drink more regularly. I’m not suggesting that you start getting drunk multiple nights a week; it’s something that comes with time. These things will help you avoid a hangover and the nausea that might prevent you from eating the morning after drinking.
And actually, weed does really help too. But it doesn’t sound like you need to be doing much else in terms of drugs.
