What is your purpose? / Any guesses for past lives?

“Great Question” (2points)

Assuming that,

—this is not your first life,
—people are reincarnated with the same “problem” to solve or “purpose” to accomplish,

what is your problem/mission/purpose? And based on your situation, personality, talents, etc., what do you think you could have been in your past life/lives?

THIS QUESTION IS PURELY HYPOTHETICAL. LET THERE BE NO RELIGIOUS ARGUMENT.

Based purely on the challenges I face in this life, my guess is that the problem I am here to solve is the squandering of my talents and my indecisiveness.

I waste a lot of time avoiding doing the things I’m very good at, and I’m constantly planning and revising my plans to do things, without actually getting to the doing of them.

I just read a line in a book yesterday… sometimes someone’s purpose in life is to “be in the right place at the right time—for someone else.”

I’m really torn on my beliefs of the afterlife, but in some ways, I think I lean more towards there being nothing or there being reincarnation. I know that feel like an old soul and I think my purpose is to help people and to help the planet.

I feel like I probably was a sailor at some point, a pioneer or Native American, and I also strongly believe I was on the Titanic (I had a rather bizarre physical reaction to the movie that I’ve never experienced before or since).

I can’t begin to guess what kind of past life would result in me. All I know is that I seem to be squandering the gift of this life. Hmmm. What kind of creature is desperate for love, but can’t let himself feel it? I wonder what I would come back as. Perhaps a beetle of some kind.

@drdoombot I think i might have the same general concept.

I know im supposed to serve my country. Whether it be as a public servant or law enforcer, or as a government assassin or soldier.
I think that (being Norwegian by heritage) I may have been a viking foot soldier, an American revolutionary ( as my family has been here since the beginning [according to my grandmothers research]). Maybe even a mobster/drug lord, which would explain why i feel the need to uphold order and maintain the balance of power between criminals and civilians.

This is all just off the top of my head. Outside of that, i have no idea.
