Late to the bow-tie Q&A here, I know….
*Dad always wore one to church, and I thought he looked rather dashing. When he passed away, Mom gave his collection to another man in the church, and he always pointed out to her when he wore one of them. (But they fall into the “older” category, making it acceptable)
*I wore one as a waitress/bar-tender, but it was part of the uniform.
*My 21 year-old nephew recently posted a picture of himself on Facebook wearing a bow-tie, and it didn’t look geeky. Maybe because he’s a bit quirky and pretty self-confident. And the photo of him wearing his grandfather’s tux? He inherited Dad’s dimple and ability to look dashing in a bow-tie.
