I disagree. Yes, the qualities that make a person special may be shared by others, but that doesn’t mean that you’re an exact carbon copy of someone else out there. No two people are exactly alike in appearance and personality, so in a way, you are a “unique snowflake”. I find that fascinating and realizing that doesn’t mean that I go around bragging about how amazing I am; arrogance has nothing to do with it. People will discover positive qualities in me by getting to know me; I don’t have to let the world know about things I like in myself. Additionally, other people can allow me to see things that maybe I hadn’t seen before.
As for the question, it’s hard to say what makes me special since there are so many ways in which I am different from others. I suppose one thing I notice is that I really try to be as friendly and as kind as possible (despite the fact that my friends even are not as much so to certain people). Additionally, various abilities that I have that I don’t come across in too many other people (or any other people that I have met) make me stand out. But really, there are so many different things about me that other people do not have in the same way that are “special”, in that sense.
I certainly do not go bragging about any of this stuff; this is just stuff I think about to myself. I’d be interested to see what people who know me would have to say about what makes me “special”. Maybe they have something completely different in mind…
