Anyone know why Gibson is discontinuing the firebird studio?

I’ve had one ordered since September and I’m just now finding out that I might not get it even though my order was in before they discontinued it. I’m a little upset. Any details?

I found an obscure thread with some folks chatting about it. I would reckon Gibson just thought it wasn’t popular enough…
