What do you wear on your laundry day?

I’m doing laundry today, and because I wait so long to to do it, I usually have to wear something obscure and embarrassing. Is this just me?
My laundry day outfits have consisted of ill fitting tank tops and hunting socks to my dance spankies and profane shirts. Thank God I have a washer and dryer in my apartment. However embarrassing it may be for my roommates to watch.
What do you wear if you have to go to a laundromat??

I wear a crappy pair of sweats or capris that I don’t really wear out of the house, and a t-shirt I don’t really like much. I have about fifty-eleven million t-shirts though so it’s not really that big of a deal.

No, it’s not just you. I do the same thing. But in my case, it is a skirt, and a matching shirt. I hate wearing skirts, but I guess to do the laundry, I have to. It’s not like I can do everything naked. I probably wouldn’t do that anyways.

Plaid sweatpants with a few holes in them. I look damn good while doing the laundry!

Not so much.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities Umm,,,yeah. LOL

I wear the same things I wear any day. Jeans & a shirt. I have too many clothes to have to get the raggy ones out.

My ironing smock.

I have a washer/dryer in my apartment, as well. I just throw on my robe (bathrobe). Or, I walk around in some clean (usually mismatched) skivvies—I live alone with a pooch and a kitteh; they don’t seem to mind.

I used to always wear nice clothes on laundry day, since I dressed in jeans and t-shirts the rest of the time. Now I’m the opposite.

I make sure to have a pair of shorts and a shirt tucked away for laundry day.
It’s gotta be comfortable, because our dryer is on its last metaphorical leg, drying takes like 6 hours. :|

I just wear my normal clothes. I have enough clothing and I do laundry often enough to the point where I don’t have to worry about this.

I normally don’t run out of clothes to wear when I wait too long to do laundry, just undies.

I’m also guilty of this, so on laundry days I’m down to my last pair of boxers and my athletic shorts and some oversized tee shirt or something. Because I’m in a dorm and there are three floors between my room and the washers and dryers, it can be slightly weird. But I’m a guy so it’s not really that embarrassing.

@pdworkin: Just the smock?!

Well since I have a washer & dryer in my house, and I usually do laundry when no ones home or late at night, nothing.

If I waited until I ran out of clothes, I wouldn’t be able to get in the kitchen!!! I wash (or rather my lurverly hubby) washes our clothes every 3 days or so :)

I wait too long sometimes and I’m left with no clothes so I go to the laundromat naked. I do laundry every other Saturday at noon at the laundromat on pine ave in case anyone wants to stop by and witness this

Whatever still clean!

Wear something? On your day off?

I have a washing machine at home, so it doesn’t count. I usually wash in the middle of the night, when electricity is cheaper and I’m naked anyway (and sometimes in bed while it’s done). But when I did use a launderette I always made sure to have one last half-decent outfit for that day. It would either consider of some ugly tracksuit with a non-matching top that was usually too small for me, or that last pair of jeans I’d been wearing for two weeks plus yesterday’s T-shirt (which would obviously have to go in the next batch).
