All the time for me, too. It ranges from daydreaming and drawing or painting to planning new gardens or arrangements of furniture in the house to reading cookbooks and then inventing recipes. I also write and I tell stories. I act on stage and in independent film and use my imagination for that, too. When I had a “real job” I got paid for being creative, so that was a great job for me.
I even use my imagination on my wardrobe, which is why people often tell me that I have an unusual sense of style. They’re just jealous.
However, in school I was pegged as a day dreamer and always shocked teachers by still being able to get good grades. Unfortunately, my teachers weren’t as creative those of @jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities. I never got The Spaceman Spiff Award For Interplanetary Travel Without Leaving The Classroom aka Pay More Attention In Class Award, although I am certain I was eligible for it.
And yes, a lot of folks consider me to be weird. But if I am weird, then weird is a good thing. In fact, most of my friends are weird, too, which is part of what makes them interesting. And they all own huge numbers of books, just like me!
