My teacher asked me to find out some strange things about frogs for extra-credit. Yet he is an english teacher, I can’t seem to get straight answers anywhere. If anyone knows “where in a horse race can a frog be found?” and “where in an orchestra can a frog be found?”

Are these puns, I wonder? (English teachers, unfortunately, are fond of them. <groan>)

Your teacher is very clever!

We will not do your homework for you but I will gladly give you a hint:

What you seek is English related.

(What you are seeking is not necessarily green and slimy)

Have fun and let us know if you need more hints.

2. Not puns =)

3. You will not find it in the percussion section.

Never heard of those phrases. Good luck!

@grumpyfish They are in strings too. I have a feeling that the more frogs that are found the more credit the user will get.

“where in a horse race can a frog be found?”

Thanks to all who helped or tried to! “Where in a horse race can a frog be found?” = a horse’s hoof, the “frog” is the triangle part on the bottom.“Where in an orchestra can a frog be found?”= A fiddle, frog is a type of string use with fiddles. Thanks again to all who helped ( :

Awesome Job @dogkittycat (great name btw)

Be sure to adjust the answer on the orchestra- @iRemy_y is correct- it is part of a bow.

Thanks, the website I looked at said it was used for the fiddle itself.

On this site you will see a frog for sale for a bow. :)

It is the part of the bow that has a nut to tighten the tension.

Silly me. I figured the frog in the orchestra was a French Horn.
