Spending it with my mum and both my siblings (first time in 2 decades all 4 of us will be together for it)

Sleeping off finals week.

This Friday is my last final so I’ll be going home that day (or the next, depending on who’s going to party on Friday) and then I’ll be home. I plan on celebrating Christmas at home with my family. The house is already decorated and the tree is up and I can’t wait to decorate my own room. In addition to that, I plan on spending a lot of time with my boyfriend since I rarely get to see him now. He and I are going to hang out at Union Square and the Westfield a lot during this break and I am really really looking forward to it!

Also plan on going to Tahoe with friends and/or family and we will definitely visit my grandparents. Not sure about any other plans; we’ll see what happens.

My family all live here close, so we’ll just get together on Christmas day here.

First of all: Graduate

Then: – Go home and see friends and family
– Walk around town and look at all the Christmas lights
– Watch A Christmas Story at least 4 times
– Eat a ridiculous amount of Christmas cookies
– Ask mom to make more cookies
– Snowball fights/Snowmen
– Christmas shopping
– Go Snowboarding
– Decorate our house
– Cook Christmas Eve dinner for parents

Going to my grandmothers house for a few days with my dad and brother. Nothing out of the ordinary, mainly just trying to avoid the inevitable arguement between my dad and my uncle!

Going to see (and eat with) the fam, 3 or 4 holiday parties with various groups of friends, ice skating, you know. The usual fun stuff. :D

Keeping it simple. We are buying presents for the kids and grandkids, but for each other, my husband and I have agreed to make a home-made gift (watch for future question on ideas if I don’t succeed pretty soon in coming up with a great idea that will be really meaningful for him). We travel out of state every other year to see my family, and this year, we will be staying here to spend Christmas with his family. I’m making chateu’ briand for the Christmas dinner (one of my favorite specialties) and looking forward to getting to watch the little kids open their presents.

No plans.

Randy and I are flying out of Denver to Newark on Christmas Eve to spend the holidays with my family!

Go home from school, first and foremost, hang out with the family, make a yule log, make Christmas cookies, wrap and open some presents, eat as much as I can, and just generally relax.

This is all assuming that I survive the end of first semester…

I plan to go to the movies on Christmas day to see The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus!

We spend a lot of time with my husband’s family. On Christmas Eve, we’re having lunch at a great seafood place with my mother-in-law’s family. There will be 13 of us, and after lunch we’re going back to one uncle’s house for dessert, coffee, and a gift exchange. They all live about an hour from here, so we’ll be back sometime in the late afternoon. Then, we’ll probably relax until it’s time to set out cookies and milk for Santa. We usually let the kids open one small gift each on Christmas Eve, then we try to get a nice photo of them in front of the tree. My mother in law makes the kids matching Christmas pajamas each year, which is so adorable and I hope the kids don’t hate us for it someday. Once the kids are asleep, we get ready for Christmas morning, usually while watching a movie and enjoying a bottle of wine.

On Christmas morning, we wake up at some ungodly hour and watch the kids ohh and ahh over gifts from Santa. While they dig into their stockings, we make coffee and try to wake up a bit. The kids then open their gifts from us, my in-laws stop by for breakfast and more gifts, and eventually we all get dressed. We drive two hours to my husband’s cousin’s house. I have no idea how many people will be there this year, but I know it will be a large crowd. This cousin is a chef, so we spend the rest of Christmas Day eating too much and drinking too much. Our kids run around with their cousins, open more presents, and have a ball. We spend the night and have a great breakfast with lots of coffee and Tylenol before finally driving home.

I’ll probably at least make Christmas cookies, maybe some candies and treats for gift baskets. Last year we made a gingerbread house, so maybe I’ll try that again. Anyway, we have a lot of fun each year. My husband’s family is a riot, and I love that our kids get to spend time with their cousins. I grew up with a small family, no other kids, so I really appreciate that my kids get to experience a large, loving family this time of year.

Making my famous honey ham, watching movies, playing music with the family, enjoying my Mom and Dad being here for Christmas and making enough chex mix to block a road.

I’m so excited!

Going to my parents’ place for an afternoon of giftgiving and good meals.

We are going to have a Christmas present explosion for the kids in the morning, I overdid it a bit this year. Then we enjoy ice cream sundae’s for breakfast, stuffed french toast with cream and berries for lunch, and off to Mom’s to spend the evening with my three siblings, two nieces, Mom and step dad. And eat ham dinner of course.

Hopefully I can spend Christmas Eve with my Dad. He is fighting cancer and I need to be with him as much as possible this holiday season.

The music is already in full swing over here, the tree is sparkling, the gifts are being wrapped, I can’t wait for Christmas!!

Absolutely nothing. That’s weird since our family has only spent christmas at home a few times in 15 years.

Working if i can. I need money. If not, I might go up to Massachusetts with the family.And freeze my tropical island, mid-summer born ass off

My best friend is driving out for a week’s visit, maybe bringing another friend of ours along so it will be a lot of fun to show them around town, do some shooting and stuff.

First time, all alone.

Seeing friends, parents, and in-laws. But mostly, doing home repairs and preparations. My husband is off for over a week, so we’ll be painting the new baby’s room and moving stuff around to make room.

Going to Norway to spend the holidays with my partner’s family. I am going to freeze! XD

My family always has a Christmas Party and we invite everyone we know.

@jmah: yeah, it was like yours, no biggie ( I misspelled recipe) and it got pulled for like a day and a half before I noticed. Kind of ridiculous I thought since there are absolute TONS of misspellings on fluther.

I’m celebrating the last night of Hanukkah with my beautiful jewish boy and then he’s coming here to celebrate christmas with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i’ve never been so excited. then my mom has a christmas party every year, which equals booze and cookies. my life is set.
