“Great Question” (0points)

My dad loves interesting talks, but he’s got super slow internet. So, I’m hoping to make him a DVD of some great TED talks (www.ted.com). They’re all creative common licenses, so I’m fine on the copy front side. My question is: what’s the best way to take web videos (looks like mp4s in this case) and turn them into DVDs?

I’m using a Mac but don’t have a dvd burner.

Thanks collective ;)

Mac, Windows, or Linux? What OS are you using?

Oops. I’m using a Mac and don’t have a dvd burner. But I do have virtualization, so if there was something critical on a PC, I could swing that.

Did I read that right? You “don’t” have a DVD burner? I’m going to assume that you mean the software you need to burn the disk.

I am a huge fan of Burn. It is easy to use and is free and open source.

Nope, that’s right. I don’t have a burner. I’m wondering if there are any good services out there that I could use for this.

Have a friend do it. Give them the files on a thumb drive. If they are a PC user, they can install dvdflick easily. The program is very intuitive. Burn will work if they have a Mac.
