@ItalianPrincess1217 I did that once. I heard the lady next door getting beat up by her husband. My roommate and I went next door and told the guy to stop. He got in our faces and threatened to kill us. There was a little scuffle, then we left. He slammed the door in our face and began to beat her more.
We called the cops. The cops showed up and took the guy away for the night I am assuming.
Later that night the lady came to our door, knocked, we answered. I thought she would thank us for interjecting and calling the cops, because she was safe for the night.
She did not. She went off on both of us for about 20 minutes. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was so stunned. But I know it began with “You need to mind your own Fing business”
To this day my friend Bill and I still talk about this and wonder what we did wrong. We tried to help and we get yelled at for it? It was obvious she was in trouble.
I really don’t get it. Stockholm syndrome maybe?
