General Question

If you were going to go fool around with a boy but couldn't go to either of your places, where would you go?

College town. Most people are on break. This is the first time you’re getting to see him in a while. This is actually a secret thing, where you have many mutual friends who couldn’t imagine that this is happening.
He’s significantly less experienced than you are, but that’s what is making it so much fun.
You own a very small car, and the best idea you have is the top level of a parking garage you know that doesn’t have elevators.

Also, it is winter and very cold out. Not that that would stop you.

Help!

There has to be a motel nearby, right? There are some places by me that rent for $30—$60 for an hour.

You’ll be much more comfortable and have some privacy. I did the car thing when I was 17 (parked in a cul-de-sac) but it was more annoying than exciting if you ask me.

Find a library, go to the kids’ section, there’s usually a “family bathroom” that has a lock on the outer door….

jackm's avatar

If your college has an all night library go there. I had many fun nights in mine.

Surely you can afford a night at a low cost motel? That’s what I would do, Monica (and Chandler.) :) Motel 6 is about 30 dollars a night and if everyone is away on break, then you can get a motel/hotel for a lot less if you book online.

You can always rent a larger vehicle…an SUV or something for the time he is there and sleep in the back…kit it out with blankets. Or get a TENT and go camping! Seriously, some campsites are still open. If you live in Michigan or Minnesota, though, I ‘m not sure how that might feel. Please don’t get frostbite.

But I shouldn’t really answer this….my idea of “roughing it” is going to a hotel without room service.

delirium's avatar

The plan, however, is to fool around and save sex for next time. That’s when i’d get a motel. Right now something a little lighter than an actual room is needed.

delirium's avatar

And the parking garage wouldn’t be in the car.

DarlingRhadamanthus's avatar

I see.

Well, then I would have to agree with the other people that posted….a library, in a stairwell (of a building that isn’t being used much), a public bathroom that locks, in a confessional in a church (oh, I’m sorry God…but it’s cold and I don’t want them to freeze…), in a garden shed or storage shed (behind the house of someone you might know), in a chapel in a hospital (sorry again, God, see above), in a storage room on campus, in a park under a very large tree at night, or one of those kid’s treehouses on the playground in the park, or in the tunnel on the slide (please go when the kiddies aren’t there!) , under the outside stairs to a building, in the doorway of a building that is not open for biz at night…....

Sheesh, you’d think I knew what I was talking about…...not. It’s like talking about ancient historical sites of famous wars. I just don’t want you to end up with the flu in the name of a good snog.

So, whatever you do, take Vitamin C and bundle up.

Good luck. :)

Libraries are for reading and are sacred. Shame on you.

Motels suck and are fleabags. The less you pay = directly related to how many sheets they have in stock, and how little they are changed. Plus extra fleas and ticks, not to mention the really yucky human things. I’d wait for a house. Better yet, wait til you are married.

arpinum's avatar

Most Motels require the person to be 21. 18 would be an absolute minimum. I like the family bathroom idea from dalepetrie.
To one up that, a fitting room at a department store, on the off hours. Especially one with wheelchair access. It may be a bench which would be useful.

DarlingRhadamanthus's avatar

@Zen Again…Well, if they are just snogging….it won’t be sacrilegeous.

Gosh, Zen….all that flea talk…they are about to do it on the floor of a cold parking garage!! A few flea bites on the bum would be better than oil stains and chewing gum, don’t you think?

:)

What, exactly, does “fooling around” consist of, if you are not going so far as intercourse?

If you are feeling things or sucking things (including face, but not just face), it seems to me that the car, no matter how small, should be adequate. Surely there is a “lover’s lane” somewhere not too far away—or are we still in the city?

Anyway, I need to know the plan before I can think of an appropriate place. Might help to know the make and model of the car, too. And if you could give us the gps coordinates of the scene of the action…... ;-)

ubersiren's avatar

I agree with the car. It’s warm, somewhat private if you find the right spot, and you can do things comfortably in there up to actual intercourse. Maybe you can save up and get something better than a Motel 6 for your sexcapade. Especially if it’s the first time. I got a hotel room when I was 18. You shouldn’t have a problem.

Haha had this exact situation in Spain last semester when we were both staying with host families. Here’s where we went:
1. The very top landing of the staircase in my building (our most common place).
2. Outside (but not useful for you): park bench, park, deserted alley, banks of the Guadalquivir River (which I imagine you wouldn’t have access to)
5. ATM. Like the ones you swipe to get in and there’s a little room.
7. Elevator in his building (actually considered stopping it between floors to avoid people calling it)
8. Individual bathroom in a restaurant
9. Snuck him into my room (very nerve-wracking).
10. Back of an un-crowded movie theater

Good luck! I know how you feel, most frustrating situation ever.

Buttonstc's avatar

Finally someone said movie theater.

That was my first thought. It’s warm, dark, and depending on the film, may provide some nice musical accompaniment in the soundtrack.

If two hours isn’t enough time, just stay for the next show.

And you also have access to refreshments if you’re taking a break. What more could you want?

janbb's avatar

@dalepetrie In a library? I am shocked!

trumi's avatar

Car, park, darkest corner of the parking lot…

I know lots of people get caught doing that, but 1. I’ve never been caught and 2. Whats a cop gonna do?

How small is the car? Because if the backseat is too small, put the passenger seat all way back/down. NOT the drivers seat. Horn honks coming from a steamy parked car are pretty obvious :)

delirium's avatar

Dude, truman, you’ve seen my car. It’s way too small. I’ve done stuff in there before. It’s somewhat ridiculous. Tiny red sports car? The… seats don’t even go all the way down. There is no back seat.

delirium's avatar

Muaha, I managed to make sure that everyone is not home and will be avoiding home until a specific time. Win!

I appreciate all the ideas, though.

janbb's avatar

@delirium Have a good time!

dalepetrie's avatar

@janbb – not saying I personally would choose to use a library, but people do use them for far worse.

janbb's avatar

@dalepetrie Whew! You had me worried there. :-)

Darwin's avatar

I would have voted for movie theater. Get tickets to a real bomb so you guys are the only ones there, and then have fun.

haze014's avatar

Abandoned houseeeee, duh…
:)

Zen_Again's avatar

@DarlingRhadamanthus Let’s try both and compare flea bites to oil stains. I am wearing Armani.

shilolo's avatar

Somewhere with a webcam ;-) Just saying….

Corporate_Avenger's avatar

The cemetery. I know from experience, those places are dead at night…pardon the pun. And it adds a certain “je ne c’est quois”.

delirium's avatar

In all honestly, I’m having a conversation with our own Devi right now on AIM about living next to cemeteries and how it wouldn’t bother me. So I actually probably wouldn’t mind too much.
I am not “gothik grrl” or the ilk, but am fairly educated about death/burial/etc. and it honestly just does not bother me.

Zen_Again's avatar

Sex is for the bedroom, @delirium et al, IMHO, the washroom for washing hands, the bathroom for taking a bath. The cemetery is for the dead. Period.

Darwin's avatar

@delirium – If you lived next to a cemetery your neighbors would be quiet, and would never complain if you have noisy parties.

dalepetrie's avatar

I live maybe 2 blocks from a cemetery and I’ve never thought about it, except as a landmark when giving someone directions (as in, once you see the cemetery on your left, start looking for the turn off to my house).
