“Great Question” (1points)

This is not for a kindergartener. How can I create a wind instrument? It doesn’t have to have perfect pitch but should play several notes.

Don’t forget about Ben Franklin’s idea. Water glasses.

Back in the old days, there was a busker in Philly who would set up a table full of them, all precisely tuned and play concerts. Beautiful and ethereal sounding. Absolutely gorgeous.

However, not for the faint of heart. You need to be able to tune them to perfect pitch like a piano. This is a cinch for a professional musician.

But for those with lesser ambition, it can also make a great object lesson for young children and play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” without too much fuss.

@Buttonstc , like this?

There’s also a more formal version of the armonica

There’s a guy who comes through our area every summer to play his armonica at the Oregon Country Fair. It’s pretty amazing to watch.

Precisely !

I can’t post links from iPhone and was hoping someone would take up the slack. Thanks.

I so love the sound that a skilled performer can get from this. This is like the perfect street performing act for a starving musician.
