actually i dont like for the pillow cases to match the sheets, i like different colors and besides that i really have no pet peeves concerning bed linens as long as they are clean…
I must have a thick mattress because some contour sheets are not big enough to fit properly, I think it is called the shoulder.
As long as they have a deep shoulder and a reasonably high thread count, I like them. But I have to agree, it is nice if they match, beige in a good color.
Anything less than a 300 thread count, because the sheets pill with usage. I double pillowcase my pillows, using two different colors, so the pillow doesn’t show.
Wrestling the duvet cover onto the duvet. Also, sheets that are just slighty too small for the mattress so one side pings off as soon as you tuck in the other side. :)
@PandoraBoxx – If the sheets are 100% cotton they shouldn’t pill no matter what the thread count. At least I didn’t think cotton would pill. Were they a poly/cotton mix?
I’m not too particular, but I can’t STAND it when I get a new set of sheets, and they shrink beyond usage on the first wash. I am not about to start dry-cleaning sheets.
Mine can’t be the scratchy hospital quality and prefer Egyptian cotton! Most of all they have to be tidy and tucked in at the bottom!! I go nuts if they come untucked!
Hi Icy! Bed sheets that don’t actually fit around the corners and come off every time you move. I hate it when they come untucked at the end of the bed too. :-)
