just a side note that I live in Oregon and visit the Mt. Hood area annually

Do you have an article about the two climbers? That may help spark some of our memories.

@UScitizen says page not found..

I don’t believe they did. They left them up there I think. I thought of them with these last two being stranded.

@RedPowerLady
Then I don’t know how to post a link here. All I did was google: mt hood climbers lost 2006

Their bodies were found. This article references the 2006 climbers and two climbers which are currently stranded on Mt. Hood in similar conditions.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities This article just says that the 2006 party died, not that their bodies were found. I’m finding articles from as late as Jan. 2009 saying that the bodies were never found.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities Yeah, I don’t think they ever were found. They had to abandon the search.

Ah, I was wrong. One of the three 2006 climbers was found dead, the other two remain missing and have been declared dead.

Kelly James’ sister has a blog dedicated to the three climbers, and the intimation is that Jerry Nikko Cooke and Brian Hall’s bodies have yet to be recovered.
