I’m just tired of the dumbing down of everything. No one wants to think. reflect, contemplate imagine big questions anymore. We are completely inundated with endless diversions from reality TV to cartoons, to porn, to senseless opinion “NEWS” shows. One can not even find a NEWS program anymore in this country that’s not Fox news or Comedy Central or some 15 second fluff fest. It’s just bullshit.

Iran is going to bomb Israel, we are on the verge of economic meltdown. We have a 12 trillion dollar debt, The US and China are contributing to Global Warming like the past 20 years of science means nothing and the polar ice caps are melting like snow on a summer day. We are fucked. And people are carrying on everywhere like it’s Tea Time on the Titanic.

Yes every once in a while I get completely peeved that we are wasting valuable time when we should be answering the bigger questions. We are wasting valuable time when we could be coming up with solutions. Who us? Yes us. Why the fuck not. Should we wait for Hugh Hefner and David Hasselhoff to take the reigns? A little island in Denmark became completely independent from burning fossil fuels in 10 years. We created the 1957 Chevrolet Belair in this country. We can do anything.
If we ever used our vast intellectual and financial resources for something other than watching Scooby Doo fuck Thelma or San Jaya sing maybe we could actually contribute something meaningful to the solution.

I too figured this out very early. After about 10 minutes.sigh
