@Vunessuh, but Hollywood Blvd. is a great place to watch people! I’ve got a picture of Superman on a pay phone on Hollywood Blvd. that struck me as funny. Should Superman really need to use a pay phone?
Hong Kong. The scenery is horrible here, all the sights that people boast about on Victoria Peak have now been enclosed by smog. There’s really nothing appealing about Hong Kong anymore except with its malls, and I would go for a walk in the park over spending hours rushing around in a mall any day.
@lfino It’s definitely a place to practice your people watching skills. The tourist traps are the worst though. All of those museums on that Blvd. are horrible.
@Kelly_Obrien, we spent an extended weekend in Branson with three other couples. My suggestion is to not go to the shops, but just stay at the lake there. It was very relaxing. We sat on our deck that overlooked the lake, took a pontoon out on the lake for the day, grilled our dinner, made big breakfasts – that part was great! No responsibilities, the scenery was great, and it was in May so the weather was great.
@lfino I used to live there. I was a cook in many area restaurants for years, and then I worked landscaping, and then raised chicken in Arkansas! I agree, the lakes were the best pace to go…especially in the summers. Out by the Dam was the best beaches…
Washington D.C. The government buildings and Lincoln Memorial were intersting, but the city didn’t look as beautiful in person as it was in pictures. It was quite drab, although maybe I’m being a bit unfair because the weather was bad that day.
@lonelydragon I loved Washington DC!Granted i’d never been there before when I went but I thought it was really neat. But in all fairness once you leave the area with all the federal buildings its a real hole.
