Perfect length, timing and finances for a first-rate Caribbean cruise for two, in a balcony stateroom. Each cruise line has a different demographic of clients, it seems. I don’t know enough about you to help you decide, or even what your temperament is. Although you will stop at some interesting, even exotic places; it’s all about the cruise itself. That’s what I found out, after yeas of avoiding them, thinking, “Oh, why not just get to where you’re going.” Then I took one and found out why many people love them so. It’s a perfect respite from the world, a bubble, a cocoon, swathed in the lap of luxury and comfort. Nothing to do but have fun, relax, eat fine cuisine, be pampered by attentive staff.
Some cruise lines are more for the youthful party set, others for people with children, etc. I avoid Carnival, and Disney for example. Too many kids, too much…much…hard to put my finger on it. For your price range, to procure a balcony cabin (a must, you won’t regret it), I’d look into Royal Caribbean, Princess, Norwegian (younger set). There’s 5–6 opportunities to eat per day, LOL, so my date and I powerwalk around the ship morning and afternoon, and utilize the gym. Pick one with island ports you like, some include airfare to departure ports, usually Florida, but there are others from the mid-Atlantic states to say, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, or from the Gulf Coast to Mexico, etc. Try it, you’ll like it.
