“Great Question” (2points)

My lifes been pretty plain, I was in a relationship for half of high school.. and now that were not together anymore, i cant figure out what i want to do with my life. Theres a new show coming on soon called “100 things to do before you die”.. i figured why not incorporate that into my life, and make a new one up “100 things to do before the end of my senior year of high school”..
im currently a junior, but i thought why not start now? i need you guys to help.
if you were to go back into high school, being single and all, or if u are in high school.. what are some things that you wud have wanted to do before you graduated high school?
and in the end, i need 100 things to do total.
make them good! they dont have to be things in school.. they can be things done outside of school also. i prefer anything done out side of school so i dont get suspended or expelled if i ever did anything bad that you may suggest in school..thanks!

p.s- im a dare devil and im up for a challenge

Dress up as Spiderman, get some rope, and repel down the tallest part of your school building. In the nude is also acceptable.

Go to a live performance of theatre (a play).
Have a slumber party.
Join a group or club at school (or more than one).
Go to a dance.
Ask a guy out.
Turn down a ride with someone who has been drinking.
Go out with a college guy.

chyna's avatar

Go skinny dipping.
Jump off a bridge.
Paint a water tower with your year you will graduate.
Wait, did you want to know what I did, or what you should do? :)

both sounds good to me

Read a biography of someone who you think may be very different from you.
See the movie “Pleasantville.”
Spend two days without any internet and email contact.

Learn to do your own laundry.
Change a tire.
Spend the day with someone at school that you have nothing in common with.
Do volunteer work on a regular basis.
Learn how to shine a pair of shoes.

Skip class and walk out of school. Just to feel free.

I waited until college to do most of the “interesting” things in my life. This is mostly because I didn’t have that many friends in high school.

Now that I’m a college student I look back and wish I still had all the free time that I had in high school to do extracurricular activities, etc. So this is a good time to try out some new things, just as long as they’re not too stupid and dangerous.

My suggestions for you:

Start a club in your high school. It could be anything; an argyle sock appreciation club, for example, would be pretty sweet.
-Try picking up a new hobby or doing something you’ve never done before. Senior year is a great time to take “fun” classes since ideally you’d have most of the hard stuff (SATs, college apps, requirements) behind you.
-Have lots of fun get togethers with friends. Some of my favorite memories of high school are my regular DDR parties that went from 2 or 3 to 6 or 7 people (big group for me!)
-Write an article for the school newspaper.
-Participate in the school prank, if your school has one.
-Dance randomly in public.
-If you don’t usually attend school sporting events, go to one.
-Try a summer camp that suits your interests. This is the last chance you’ll get.
-Go on a camping or road trip with trustworthy friends.

…And all the good things other people have mentioned. :D

Learn to use apostrophes. I’m just sayin’.

ParaParaYukiko's avatar

OH YES. @CyanoticWasp is totally right.

Learning good grammar is key in high school. Punctuation, especially.

It will surely help you out later in life. No offense.

This is what I did before my senior year:
try pot, become a pot head, tried at least 3 hard drugs, drink til you puke, sneak out of your house, get kicked out of school, get suspended, got sexually harasses at work, learn to drive, get a drivers licence, get 2 cars, crash, get lot in a huge city, take a road trip, have sex, become a “slut”, get used for sex, get a long term boyfriend

ParaParaYukiko's avatar

@Violet Sounds… pleasant… I hope things are better for you now!

Violet's avatar

@ParaParaYukiko lol, yes, things are much better. That was a long time ago

Those are all bad ideas. I am actually in high school and I will tell you somethings me and my friends have done.
1) We went to a random high school, not even our rivals, but we went there and acted like students and took some of the signs off the walls and hung them back up at our school. Including some of the plastic signs screwed into the walls. Yes thats probably vandalism but it was hilarious
2) The other night we went to go mess with on our friend who told us he was having a party but actually was not. While we were walking through the woods toward his house a cop drove by and saw my car parked in a no-parking zone (woops) and came out with his flashlight and started yelling at us. We went back and he made us put our hands on the tree and patted us down but besides that we were fine.
3) Once we were at the lakehouse and our friends were at the other lakehouse and we snuck into their house and took their food and replaced it with like grass and leaves and they found out and came took our food and replaced it with a rock.
4) we went sailboating on a little raft out in very cold water then tipped over
5) we put this huge gourd that we had plucked into this guys locker
6) hid over a hundred raisin boxes in this teachers room before he found out
7) fling crumbs and ice from a plastic spoon in the cafeteria
8) flung a firecracker into the middle of a fancy outdoor restaurant with a band on halloween night
9) and so much more…
Just do things that you wouldn’t normally do and thats what fun is

jctennis123's avatar

and when we were on the washington d.c. trip me and my friends went around putting stickers on unsuspecting people!

have fun. do wild things. don’t limit yourself. only do it if it is exciting

Violet's avatar

@jctennis123 “Those are all bad ideas”
that is not a very nice comment.

jctennis123's avatar

@Violet thank you for holding me accountable but seriously, “smoke weed in a graveyard,” “repel down the school nude,” and “jump off a bridge” ??? It sounds like only a few people actually took her question seriously, so sure some of the ideas posted here are good ideas, but most of them are dangerous or unhealthy.

rangerr's avatar

@jctennis123 Really? Dangerous? You can’t let people joke? OmG TEH INTERNETZ IS SO SERIOUSS!!!11!

Let’s take a look at some of your answers.

1) We went to a random high school, not even our rivals, but we went there and acted like students and took some of the signs off the walls and hung them back up at our school. Including some of the plastic signs screwed into the walls. Yes thats probably vandalism but it was hilarious
-Well. Lets see here. Trespassing AND vandalism. You’re so cool.

-That’s not even something to do. Irrelevant to this question.

3) Once we were at the lakehouse and our friends were at the other lakehouse and we snuck into their house and took their food and replaced it with like grass and leaves and they found out and came took our food and replaced it with a rock.
-This is such a cool story, please. Tell it again.

4) we went sailboating on a little raft out in very cold water then tipped over
-That can happen to anyone. You’re not too special, and this isn’t really relevant to her her question.

7) fling crumbs and ice from a plastic spoon in the cafeteria
-You’re the kind of kid that my friends and I beat the shit out of. Also, janitors worst nightmare. Way to be an asshole.

8) flung a firecracker into the middle of a fancy outdoor restaurant with a band on halloween night
-Wow. Okay. You called us dangerous? How many things could go wrong here?

Don’t critique us when you have equally or more so dangerous “ideas”.

jctennis123's avatar

@rangerr I like the idea of skipping class and walking out of school. That is fun. Besides the fact that you went ballistic over my super fun ideas, which I and a bunch of other people had alot of fun doing, what are some of your other good ones? Lets not just get angry at each other, @rh11cp asked a good question. I want to hear your good ideas.

rh11cp's avatar

come on guys, need more ideass!!! try and think of stuff that i can do at parties and stuff to do when im drunk haha. skinny dipping idea was good, and so is throwing a dart at a map and traveling to wherever it lands.

rangerr's avatar

…....I’m NOT going to encourage you to do anything involving drinking. You’re too young.

Michael_Huntington's avatar

How about pass your classes

CyanoticWasp's avatar

@rangerr, and drunk people have too many bad ideas already as it is.

I would go back to my original response (which I know the OP didn’t like anyway) and broaden it to say “Get an education, and ask about 99 good questions of your teachers.”

I’m sure that advice will be just as well received.

rangerr's avatar

I agree with @Mike_Hunt. Focus on your classes. You can do stupid things in college when they most of them aren’t illegal for you.

I’d completely redo high school if I could because my GPA was that bad. I’m gonna be in college longer than I want to be because of it.

I’m not saying your grades are bad or anything, just put most of your focus on your school work.

It sucks, but that’s the way it is.

Enjoy the friends you have now. Most likely, 10 years later, you’d have no idea where they went and what they are doing now.

how about..go skinny dipping in the middle of the night, dress in costumes and pretend to be greeters at some local store, take a road trip, sneak out of your house, skip a class, make a fun scavenger hunt, follow a random person around in your car for awhile to see how they react :), make a funny random video with your friends, seniors make a Freshman Friday, some class period try coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc. every time the teacher begins to talk, start a food fight, party in a random town. My friends and I made a huge list this last year but can’t find it so there’s some that I can remember.

kimmisofly4's avatar

Me and my friends were thinking the same thing.
We DID jump off a small local bridge (every teen does in my town), go to homecoming (look fabulous), win prom queen or actually go to prom (even if you dont normally go to dances, this is the last time before graduation you will be with all of your classmates), play atleast one sport (i did basketball, tennis and soccer) or do the musical (was in into the woods), play an instrument (flute for me), learn a different language (i learned spanish), rap at a talent show or sing or dance (we have Saint Michaels Idol, its a lot of fun), DO A SENIOR PRANK (if its good enough, you wont get into trouble), Skip Class and go to chuckie cheese :)

live you’re life… become an original person. stop asking other people what you should do. Figure out yourself, who you are. It sounds tacky but high school doesn’t really matter. Be an original first-rate version of yourself.

High school was fun for me.. i did sports, parties, pranks, and dumb high school stuff. College right now is the same way.Keep your grades up. Don’t be an idiot. Have the conversations no one else wants to have. Be the first to step up just do it. Be a free spirit.. and seriously.. fu*k it cause no one will remember you in five years.

Basically all I can say is; be good and if your not good be safe. Don’t do anything that will get you more than one night in jail. (you don’t have to call your parents to bail you out) And find beauty in the little things.

prankcrazy2013's avatar

1) Ask every teacher why they like teaching
2) Mess up the library
3) Act like a sports announcer over the intercom
4) Spill paint on “accident” in the art room
5) Become friends with the janitor
6) Where a suit to school for a week
7) Put a kick me sign on your principals back
8) Start a food fight
9) Hit the person you really hate the most
10) Get an A in the class you do the worse in
