some DVDs can’t be copied put into iTunes due to copyright laws. Note: apple teamed up with Fox to bring digital copies. So when you by a 21 century fox DVD you’ll get a special copy where you can import the movie into your iTunes library then into you iPod or iPhone. The first digital copy DVD is family guy: blue harvest. I thinks the only one so far. This new idea is fairly new, there will be more fox DVD movies with digital copies in the future.
But when you put a DVD in the cd drive,oj videora how do you convert the whole video ts file as one movie instead of chapter by chapter, and where is that option, videora converts files only to iPod format
i mean where do you go on the program to copy the movie part of the DVD to an external hardrive and then convert it to the format, like DVD shrink the program
• Create a new folder on your desktop.
• Open your file explorer (finder) and navigate to the DVD.
• Drag the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS to that folder on your desktop.
• When it is done copying, open the conversion program and select the folder on the desktop as your source.
Having the files on the computer helps with conversion speeds and reduces the chances for hangs.
I use ImTOO Ripper. Works like a charm and even has 6 different formats especailly for the iPod Touch and iPhone. Chapters are included and the file is compressed to minimize space, but the good quality is still there. It also does all sorts of converting for non-DVD files to iPod. Enjoy :)
