Are Fluther questions automatically fed into other forums?

By accident when using Google I found a site that lists copies of some of our Fluther questions including one of my own. I searched some more and this result list

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:hot.iflove.com+fluther

made me wonder what’s going on here. Anyone know? Are the moderators aware of this?

They know and seem pissed.

@johnpowell – Are there any other sites besides Maholo we are aware of? It seems like a strange practice.

Not that I know of. But they are stealing our content and inserting ads and claiming it as their own. That is fucked up.

@johnpowell – There might be a lawyer among our large Fluther community. A short simple letter with a clear threat in it explaining the consequences might solve the problem. Maybe someone could volunteer. Pro bono. Typically these people don’t want to go to trial.

These people should not get away with this.

All I knew about was Mahalo.
@mattbrowne- The Internet is kinda the wild, wild west. I’m not sure if there is any real legal action that can be taken. It certainly does suck though.

@mattbrowne Its been done. Nothing’s apparently changed.

Can’t this problem just be solved by everyone collectively avoiding giving that website any attention? Just a thought…

Well, well well. That IS interesting

@avvooooooo – Thanks. I should check the blog more often!

Of course, it doesn’t help matters that there are people that copy/paste the same question to multiple sites on their own.

Whoops. Thought I was on another site.
