For me, you hit the nail on the head with “quirky.” A lot of people here are a bit strange, and they’re aware and proud of it, so they accept other people’s oddities. That’s important to me, since I’m… you know… me. <3

They are so friendly and generous.

To me it’s really no different than in real life, sometimes you just instantly get along with someone. Fluther is a collection of pretty cool people so it isn’t too hard to make friends.

The thing about the Jellies that I talk to daily is that they care. If I have a problem I know that I can talk to a few different people about it and they’ll give me their honest opinions on what they think. I’ve laughed with Jellies, cried with Jellies, gotten drunk with Jellies. What isn’t there to love?

Yesterday’s jellies were left on the pantry shelf far too long and are past their sell-by date.

It’s interesting, because I have seen the site evolve over the last two years, and I think there is a bit of a difference in the way jellies interact in “today’s Fluther.” I think like fine wine, the site has become a better place for information exchange, humor, and having fun.

Also, the level of sophistication of the user base on the whole has improved, and I think there are just a lot more folks on here who care about having a quality place to share…it’s what makes me keep coming back for more!

I like to think that te Jellies I interact with outside fluther (twitter, AIM, FB and such) are all fun loving, intelligent, cultured, music loving, funny and above all good friends. Such qualities may be common by themselves, but the combination is rare and present in all my jellies. you know who you are.

I gotta disagree. I find them no different from people irl. It’s worse, though, because it happens so much more often here than it does in irl. [pay no attention to me. clearly I’m depressed and acting out. leave me alone and it will play out]
