In boot camp, the first night on the town in Texas, i had a 2 pound steak and a bottle of Jack Green. i have never been sicker in my life than that night. i was dead drunk and the Jack Green did it. never again. bad memory. today, Jack Black is the order of the day.

I prefer Gentlemen Jack.

Over-rated.

Almost as bad as the 10 times you pay for “specia“l vodkas, which I rarely drink, I’d pay that money for a Glen something (fiddich, morangie et al) before I would on Jack.

According to the Jack Daniels’ website, Jack Daniel’s Green Label is a lighter, less mature whiskey with a lighter color and character. Which means, for people who normally don’t drink whiskey or bourbon, they will probably find this not quite so strong. I prefer Woodford Reserve, or Wild Turkey American Honey Liqueur myself.

@Zen_Again: Which one is overrated? Or are you saying you don’t care for the entire brand?

JD is over-rated; Black in particular, imho.

I hadn’t seen Green Label until the other night, and I had no idea what it was! I’m a big fan of black label. Jack + Diet Coke = Home.

But I was recently shown the light of the Jack and Water. I personally enjoy the fire in my chest, but if straight whiskey is too much for you try mixing it with chilled water – it turns it into completely new beverage. And if that’s still too much, try SoCo! It basically tastes like syrup.
