Has any one ever heard of using a product such as anti-stretch mark cream to increase the skins elasticity to ease gauging pain and/or lower the chance of tearing?

If you gauge correctly, that would be slowly and by a professional piercer, you shall not risk tearing.

I cannot imagine any ointment making any difference.

There’s no evidence that those creams actually work at all. In fact, one study, quoted here showed that scars treated with petroleum jelly actually improved better than those treated with Mederma’s active ingredient, onion extract. So, I would say don’t bother, it’s a waste of money.

I was so confused until I read the topics. Why not try stryvectin? It’s expensive, but it’s great for hips and tummies too.
