I might be forced to go to a school I really don’t want to.
And when I’m 16 I was wondering if I can go to whatever school I want without parents permission.

No. each school has a district. if you live in a certain school district, you will go to that school. some people cheat the system by giving a relatives address in another school district. you will have to provide your own transportation to the out of district school.

I’m assuming you’re in the US.

So unless you legally become an emancipated minor, it’s still you parents decision.

Nope.
Just live with your parents choices. You can hate them for it the rest of your life.
Well, until you have kids, and realize how hard raising a family is.

No.

Schools are usually funded by property taxes levied by the county. That is why schools in wealthy areas are usually better. It could be that there was some redistricting going on and you are blaming your parents for something that is completely out of their control.

It could be that you go to a private school, that is different. But you still have to go where your parents want.

Is your best friend at the other school?

Don’t worry, you’ll get a new one.

I live in Canada and it’s the same school district just a defferent school and I’m going to the school I want to stay at now but my mom wants me to go to a new highschool because she doesn’t like the one I’m going to because my school guidance counsellor called social services on my mom. That’s the only reason why she doesn’t want me to go and I don’t hate my mom it’s jut that she hasn’t looked after me all of my life she has just pawned me off on other people .

In Canada in most provinces the age of majority is 18. In a few provinces and territories it is 19. Thus, the answer is no. You are not an adult and cannot make those decisions for yourself if your guardian (in this case your mother) says no. If it all goes to court, then the judge can listen to your desires, but the judge will make the decision.

Suck it up and go to the new school. However, be aware that you and your mother are on social services’ radar now, so they will be quicker to act on any new reports.

Not at all. But you can talk to social services and let them know that you’re being forced to transfer schools because your mother doesn’t want to deal with the people at the old one. But when they tell you that you have to deal with it (and they probably will) then you’re going to have to live with it.

Not when I was 16, or my kids. That is incorrect information.
